The HI5222K includes the HI5222 advanced research grade dual channel benchtop pH/ISE/mV meter that is completely customizable with a large color LCD, capacitive touch keys, and USB port for computer connectivity. The HI5222 is rich in features including 5 point calibration, selectable resolution, data logging, alarm limits, comprehensive GLP, and much more. It retains simplicity with both dedicated key for routine operation and virtual keys that guide the user through setup options. The HI5222 ensures confidence in measurements with the exclusive Hanna Instruments CAL Check™ feature that alerts the user to potential problems during calibration including if the buffer is contaminated or the probe needs to be cleaned.

The use of a magnetic stirrer allows for proper mixing and the sample to be homogenous in consistency and temperature. The stirring of the sample also helps speed up the response time of a sensor in achieving a stable reading. The HI5222K pH meter (kit) includes the HI190M-1 compact magnetic mini-stirrer

The HI5222K includes two HI1131B glass body, double junction, refillable pH electrodes. The laboratory pH electrodes can be used with samples that range from pH 0-13 and at temperatures between 0 and 100 oC.

The HI5222K includes 500 mL bottle each of pH 4.01, 7.01, and 10.01 pH buffer. All pH calibration buffers are produced in accordance with ISO 3696/BS3978 standards using high purity salts, deionized water, certified weight-checked balances, and Class A glassware in a temperature controlled environment monitored with certified thermometers. Reported values are accurate to /- 0.01 pH @ 25°C and are traceable to NIST Standard Reference Materials (SRMs).

For maintenance the HI5222K is supplied with HI7060L general purpose cleaning solution and the HI70300L electrode storage solution . When the “clean electrode” message is displayed during the calibration of the HI5222 or there is a poor probe condition (i.e. less than 30%) then soak the pH electrode in the cleaning solution for 15 minutes to clean any deposits from the glass surface. After cleaning the probe should be rinsed with purified water and then allowed to soak in the storage solution for 2-3 hours. The electrode storage solution is also used when the electrode is not in use. Either place a small amount into the storage cap or into a beaker in order to maintain a properly hydrated electrode.
